The Heart of the Brand
Da Bubs was born from love, loss, and a passion for food. Chef James Higgins, Raleigh's "wing guy", stepped away from kitchens to spend time with his beloved dog Chloe, affectionately called "Da Bubs." After she passed away from cancer, he returned to cooking, channeling grief into joy through food.

What our guests are saying
Solid bar food with great wings and smash burger. The wings were crispy on the outside, moist on the inside and fell off the bone - the trifecta for the perfect wing. The burger had a crispy edge, good flavor and a great bun.

This is such a cool place! Plenty of seating inside and very spacious. The food was Da Bomb and carnivore friendly. I had wings, delicious and fell right off the bone and bonus points for fried in beef tallow. You can order burger patties with or without cheese à la cart which a lot of places won’t do or they will charge you full price. The owners are super nice and very accommodating.

Chef James Higgins applied French butchering techniques to the humble chicken wing, ensuring the "First Date Wings" can be eaten in one fell swoop, no gnawing, no cartilage, just crispy, juicy meat clean off the bone.
His philosophy, in his own words: "Everyone doesn't make a lot of money, and I just want people to enjoy their meal without having to break the bank to do it."
